Welcome!

Welcome to the Twin Creeks Extension District Website!

The Twin Creeks Extension District is made up of Decatur, Norton, Sheridan, and Graham Counties. K-State Research and Extension programs present useful information related, but not limited to: Agriculture; Family and Consumer Sciences; Economics; 4-H Youth Development; Home and Family life; Business and Economics; and Health and Nutrition.  We take programs to Schools, Gardens, Community Centers, and many other places.

Our philosophy is to help people help themselves by taking university knowledge to where people live, work, play, develop, and lead. We work at being responsive to the needs of the people by focusing our resources on providing quality information, education and problem-solving programs for real concerns.

Join our Twin Creeks Extension District Team!

The Twin Creeks Extension District is comprised of Decatur, Graham, Norton, and Sheridan Counties in northwest Kansas. The district has a combined population of approximately 13,000 across 22 rural communities.

We are a progressive, growth-minded, and community-focused district dedicated to increasing capacity in people and programing alike.  Our office works in partnership with stakeholders from all walks of life and industries across our district.

Extension agents are professional educators who serve as a link between Kansas State University and communities across Kansas. Agents are jointly responsible to the director of K-State Research and Extension (represented by a designated administrator) and the local extension board.

This position will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of research-based educational programming to build healthy, sustainable communities, families, and individuals. Programming will be conducted with volunteers and extension colleagues to: strengthen families and individuals; build community capacity; promote individual and community health and wellness; and lead volunteer development.

Come make a difference, grow, and have impact with us in the Twin Creeks District!
